Romantic Gardens To Visit in North America

 Victoria: Buchart and Hatley House
Within the vast expanse of Buchart are gardens designed in the romantic style. Hatley House is the largest, intact Edwardian gardens in Canada, full of romantic plantings and settings.

West Coast U.S. – Portland Rose Garden & Filoli
The Portland Rose Trials have 10,000 plantings, set on a hillside with the scenic Mount Tacoma in the background. Filoli, south of San Francisco) is a romantic garden throughout – with beautiful soft pastel plantings, rose gardens, and pretty architecture.  

Florida – Bok Tower & The Garden of Four Arts
Bok Tower, (south-west of Orlando) is Olmstead designed with a beautiful Tower and abundant plantings of Camellias.  The Garden of Four Arts in Palm Beach is a series of distinct rooms, providing romantic rendezvous in different styles throughout.

North Carolina – Biltmore Estate 
Grand excess of architecture and landscape gardens (by Olmsted). Breathtaking views, lush landscape, and conservatories.  The long pergola walk is a highlight with its framed views.

Philadelphia – Winterthur
It is theSpringbank garden and gorgeous azaleas and rhododendrons that are the romantic garden jewels set in a hillside setting against a magnificent house.

Hortulus(Newton, PA) in spring is the epitome of romance with the single colour white theme throughout, including the gazebo overlooking the river for the romantic rendezvous. 

Longwood’sWisteria Garden, Mimosa Walk, and Temple of Love are standout romantic garden experiences.
