Most people don't like to think about snow in July. It does snow in July out west in Canada.
The weather channel writes this:Banff for example has seen as much at 7.6 cm of snow in July, when a considerable snowfall happened on July 23, 1918.
For the U.S. Rocky Mountains, snow is usually gone by mid-July. But it received 2 feet of snow on June 21st in 2018 and the same on June 30th this year. That happened in Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, and the Cascades. The month was renamed Juneuary.
Wouldn't that be an amazing sight? Snow in the mountains with green fields and flowers in the valleys. We can find snow now in the southern hemisphere: Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, and so on. Did you know that Mount Hood has skiing in the summer? Sass-Fee, Switzerland has snow in the summer, In fact, there are lots of places to find snow in July. The article with all these summer snow and ski places is HERE. Actually, this makes me appreciate our recently hot weather - I like winter but I prefer to occur in the winter months.
Our picture today has gone through the Flaming Pear Flexifly treatment - I added a bit of red for a pop of colour.
