If we look at countryliving.com from March 2020, they say we should enjoy ourselves on summer Sundays -things like throw a block party, sell stuff in a garage sale, go swimming at the community pool, get all the toppings on your frozen yogurt, wash the car, run through the sprinkler, go bicycling, camping, kayaking, etc. The best one recommends going to a state fair or a baseball game. I guess country living put out that content in February before the virus strike. This is an excellent example of the "before and after" contemplation.
Here is the Covid-19 recommendation now: spend some time doing those upgrades you've been ignoring - the patio needs a wifi booster, furniture, a hammock, a bike (that's too late now - they're gone!). Mostly stay at home and near home doing stuff outdoors.
One of the big surges has been the rise of TikTok during Covid-19. Originally a Chinese app, it is targeted to teenagers to create videos of themselves dancing, acting, lip syncing, and singing. There are over 500 million monthly users at last count, and likely more now. The studies say kids spend about 80 minutes a day watching TikTok videos. Its name is meant to represent the short format of the videos - the sound of a ticking clock.
And our Sunday suppers? They mostly feature the barbecue grill and patio dining. Everything looks delicious when made by finecooking.com.
I took this picture of a St. Catharines garden's bicycle quite a few years ago. The owner says that it was her father's bicycle - and she was my age. So that means it would be quite a few decades old. It has a stylish look to it, doesn't it?
