Is there an intersection between luddites and flat-earthers? This makes sense to me. The Luddites were a secret oath-based organization of English textile workers in the 19th century. They destroyed textile machinery - I guess they knew where their jobs were going. Luddites today could be political, lazy or contentious/argumentative. That seems to be how we perceive the Flat Earthers - mostly contentious and argumentative.
This interests me as I think the Flat Earthers and Luddites are 'bunched' together. If we were to do a social study, we'd likely find an expectation of a correlation. Instead, I took a simple route and found these examples from books.google.ca
Aren't the titles amazing and the extracts curious? I give you the links in case any one of them speaks to your own curiosity. For me, it would be to find out if the whole book is as badly thought-out and written as the extract. What is your guess?
Here's my disappointing view of the Lavender Farm in Vineland. I am wishing for those gorgeous pictures with billowing lavender on rolling hills, as in France, or billowing lavender with two lavender Muskoa chairs as the focal point as in Oregon. Oh well...next year.
