Florida Colours

We had a surfer day this week - with up to 11 fellows on the waves in front of our unit.  We seem to be at the big wave point along this northern part of the beach.

I've included an HDR processed dolphin picture - the additional clarity and colour tones are remarkable.  We had a spectacular dawn yesterday after the roaring thunderstorm.  Today's noise seems calm in comparison.

A Place Called Marineland

Our tour of Marineland revealed that the facility started as an 'oceanarium' studio for Hollywood to make underwater footage for movies.  It was named after the town Marineland.  Already on the map, it was easier to find.

"Gone are the days when the emphasis was on performing animals. Now the guests join our animals in their habitats and make the physical and emotional connection that inevitably leads to a true understanding of why we need to protect these incredible animals and their marine environment. Programs such as the Immersion and Discover Dolphins lead you into a watery world like none you’ve ever experienced before. Looking for something less adventurous? Keep your feet on dry land as you meet the dolphins in our Touch and Feed program, or participate in Dolphin Designs for the more artistically inclined."
