OK - I am looking at the Bastille Day Toned Down Celebrations coverage. Where do I find the coverag? It comes from Radio Sputnik, funded in whole or part by the Russian government. I have whipped through the 3 minutes and see lots of people seemingly close together. There is another article HERE with pictures of 100 years of the national celebration. They understand fireworks. If we had the Eiffel Tower, we would be inspired to do great work like this too. Think of Australia and the fantastic Sydney Bridge and Opera House.
However, the news reports say that the French have been shedding their masks, greeting each other with traditional double-cheek kisses, and similar things. There is an expectation of increase in cases.
We in Niagara don't get to move to Stage 3 reopening like northern and eastern Ontario do on Friday. There is caution and trepidation about this - given the results in the U.S. with the rush to reopen. Uur US border remains closed until into August. We won't be enjoying distanced viewing at the Buffalo Garden Walk. I took a look back at Buffalo Garden Walks of the past - here's the Harry Potter house. A combination of wonderful house and garden!
