Aug 21 2020 - Wolverine in Sight

The wolverine is small yet ferocious and lives in northern Canada.  Andrew Manske is a filmmaker who spent 5 years tracking it in northern Alberta mostly in winter to capture it on video.

You can see the video HERE.  What was so amazing on the video was how swift moving a wolverine is in the snow - as though it was flying through on skis.  It zig-zags and flies along.

This animal looks like a cross between a wolf and a baby bear, but they are weasel family members. There is some white colouring on the fur that is reminiscent of skunks, and like skunks, they stink.  They spray food that they want to eat later so that no other animals touch it. They eat anything and everything and are known as extreme gluttons.  They are mostly solitary and known to be cranky.

So is Wolverine the superhero like a real wolverine?  He seems to be to me - he is moody, cranky and grumpy, easily getting upset and bringing out the claws for excessive force.  He was born in northern Alberta where the real wolverines live.  His catchphrase is "I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best isn't very nice."  That's definitely in keeping with a real wolverine.  The Marvel character was a superhuman agent of the Canadian government, in Department H.

There is an argument within Marvel over whether Wolverine was a mutated wolverine.  The creator, Wein, argues that he did not intend to make Logan a mutated wolverine.  He writes stories about human beings, not evolved animals.  The claws retract, like the Wolverine's but the superhero's are made of that famous material adamantium.

These are Wolverine Quotes:
You might remember that 'annoyed' is my natural state
Nature made me a freak. Man made me a weapon. And God made it last too long
You know, sometimes when you cage the beast, the beast gets angry.
I'm Canadian
