Oct 1 2024 - Heavy Heavier Heaviest

From triple double letters, we go to triple digits of weight loss.  The heaviest person alive lost 641 pounds according to the Guinness Book of Records.

"In November 2016, Juan Pedro Franco made headlines around the world when he was hospitalized for life-saving treatment. Initially reported to weigh 1,105 lb (501 kg; 79 st), he actually tipped the scales at 594.8 kg (1,311 lb 4.9 oz; 93 st 9 lb) – the weight of nearly 10 average adult men."

Can you imagine a rounding error of 200 pounds.  That is a person in itself.  He is a double world record-holder, so coverage of his weight loss continues  - with surgeries and other medical interventions.  He made the news by surviving COVID-19 in 2020.  And the latest is 2023 with him continuing to maintain the reduced weight.  There is an unending interesting in such a story.  It seems so surreal.

The articles all have pictures - the compelling part and no  surprised on that one. An article in the UK Sun is dated September 2024 - it is a timeline pictorial story of his medical weight loss journey.

And the final touch - there are 136 Juan Pedro Franco photos on Getty images.  Interspersed in them are pictures  athletes playing sports and bicyclists racing, along with  doctors appearing to give interviews.  What an ironic display.
