Vince showed up again today - with a new set of signs. Here they are. I appreciate google's thoughtfulness on this.
While Vince's signs and all the others on the internet are fun, I was drawn to the headline on the BC election. It is too close to call.
Each party - NDP and Conservators - are a seat or two shy of the 47 needed to win a majority Things won't be fully counted until October 26th when the other 4 percent of the ballots get counted from mail-in and out-of-district votes.
Is this a sign of things to come? Election results down to the wire with razor-thin results and long wait times to find out the results?
Who would guess this scenario? Definitely "razor-thin" is the word of the year for elections.
And what happens with the post-ballot counting? Take a look at Allan Lichtman who is known for correctly forecasting 9 out of the last 10 elections. He says Kamala Harris will win.
What is important is that the election he "missed" was Al Gore vs George W. Bush - that was where the Supreme Court halted a recount, giving Bush sufficient votes to pass. So the state was won by 500 votes. That's the election Lichtman says was stolen. Interesting.
So there will be recounts in BC as well. So much drama and tension, if you ask me.
We need more Vinces to give us come relief.
This is an eastern Ontario sky. And isn't it representative of the times? Blue sky with clouds ahead.
