It turns out that sunsets are better during colder months of the year. November through February. The lower humidity produces better sunsets. Add to that, twilight lasts longer closer to the solstices so the great coloured sunsets last longer. And we generally like sunsets more than sunrises - likely that sun going below the horizon.
As we move into the winter moves, it seems there's something to enjoy. With shorter days, we'll have a sunset of 5:04pm tonight. In Niagara, we don't get a Lake Ontario sunset at this time of year, it has shifted to over the escarpment. Our best sunsets over the Lake are in the summer. But what about chasing sunsets?
