Marilyn's Photos - Dec 18 2025 - The yapap ummm yapapa haane cat
Have you heard of the yapap ummm yapapa haane cat
Find the yapap ummm yapapa haane cat in less than 7 seconds. There are always a few “find the N” amongst the “Ms” in the feed from Bing.
This one is a recent viral internet meme featuring an orange cat who appears to be saying in phonetic Mandarin Chinese “I want hugs” - it is described as “jiggling its head while making adorable noises”. Catch up to date on the latest with the video HERE. Be prepared: the video is 10 hours long.
Unlike the article’s promise, it is not adorable. It is a netizen of the internet brought to us by AI, and is one of the latest to join the cat meme family. There’s a whole family to get introduced to. One of the members of the cat meme family is the cat repeating “uu ee aa aa ee aa” on a green screen. I think that one is 12 hours. “Jaago Jaago Subah Ho Gayi, Jald Se Pilo Chai Thandi Ho Gayi” is an Indian social media “sensation.” That’s only an hour. Then we move to Chi Chi Chi Re Nani Chi! - too bad it is only on Instagram so clicking on the link goes off to something unrelated. There’s a bored dissociated black cat, a “Me the moment Friday hits” cat, and the Wi Wi Wi cat who is eating food while sitting inside the food bowl.
Looks like 2025 was the year of AI cats. I ask Google’s AI to explain itself and tell us why AI cat memes were so popular in 2025. The two reasons that stand out for me are:
Inherent appeal of cats, and
AI Slop Aesthetic - the slightly imperfect, inconsistent, and often surreal nature of AI-generated images with “brain rot” quality.
Here’s the 2025 Cat Meme Hall of Fame. The big orange cat, middle row, 3rd from the left, that’s the yapap ummm yapapa haane cat. Now I know what to look for in the Bing Spot the cat 7 seconds challenge.
Here’s one of my watercolours. In contrast to our cats above, I generated it using my hand holding a paint brush. Seasonal Greetings were added via Photoshop.
You can do a search on Google for AI generated cat meme Christmas cards, and there will be dozens , probably millions in the space of 5 minutes, to choose from. I like the Santa sleigh with cats instead of reindeer. That’s the inherent appeal of cats moment.
This Maple Leaf picture is from years ago in Toronto.
