There are likely a thousand articles on how to make New Year's Resolutions and stick to them and which ones are better than others. I bet you the opposite question is also in the air. The question? What should I not do in 2025? An example list is HERE.
Ignore cybersecurity measures
Procrastinate on climate change
Overlook mental health
Rely soley on fossil fuels
Spread misinformation
and so on... these seem like repetitions of our current society worries. And they are too vague for me to take action on as an individual. The opposite is true for what to stop buying in 2025. The authors are very clear on their advice. Here are five things the middle class "must" stop buying in 2025:
New Cars: The Financial Burden on Wheels
Large Single-Family Homes: When Bigger Isn't Better
Name Brand Grocery Items: Trimming the Fat from Your Food Budget
High-End Electronics and Gadgets: The High Cost of Staying Cutting-Edge
Frequent Dining Out Or Food Delivery: The Hidden Expense Of Convenience
Then there are everyday things like lotions, water bottles, perfume, socks, candles. From big to little, there is a list for everyone on what not to buy. I could probably go out and buy a NOT TO DO list template at the Dollar Store.
There are lists of things that won't be available for us to stop buying in 2025. Here is a prediction of things we won't be able to buy/use by 2025:
Fax Machines
Delivery Jobs
Cords and Chargers
Credit Cards
Checks
Having a Different Remote for Every Device
Landline Phones
DVD Players
The item in the middle - credit cards - that one told me I am in the older age group, not using smart phone apps to pay for things.
