If It's Not a Pink Flamingo...What is it?

This is in the garden of Bluma Appel's son and daughter-in-law.  Bluma Appel is a well-known name in the arts.  She was a great patron of theatre and a philanthropist.  Her son shares her love of art, and opened his expansive garden in Niagara-on-the-Lake for the Shaw Garden Tour.

This is quite the imposing statue on the landscape.  What is it?  What does it represent?  Its soft pink colour becomes imposing and dominant with the statue's 'balancing' shape.

What would you call it?

Garden Sculpture

We think of garden sculptures as pieces set out in the garden amongst the plants and lawns.  What usually comes up in my mind would be large pieces whether antique stone or modern metal.  But what is it really?  I find out that my notions of what something is get challenged all the time.  I found this display yesterday.  I would call it sculpture.  These are gooseneck gourds carefully chosen and placed on a potting bench shelf.
