Guessing Games are still with us. How else would so many people play Wordle?
I was wondering how Hangman come about. It seems macabre to be showing progress in such a way. The origin of the hangman isn't known.
Hangman is a guessing game for two or more players. One player thinks of a word, phrase, or sentence and the other tries to guess it by suggesting letters or numbers within a certain number of guesses.
The variant today is an apple tree with ten apples rather than the hangman.
Guessing Games like Hangman are mostly for children. Think guessing games for adults and once you are past Wordle then it is all about guessing things like - someone's age - and of course the advice that goes engaging in that activity.
Is there an age when one stops playing childrens' games? Quora pops up on these kinds of questions. They are generally opinion based answers. Or they ask the questions in an alternate way that reveals an opinion.
Here's a great example: "What is the age when children stop playing games and start real learning?"
That seems to be either a) a very philosophical question or b) a really stupid opinion
