THe only hair colour that gets this kind of attention is red. Redhead Days is a festival that just completed in Tilburg, the Netherlands. It claims on its website that it is a gathering of tens of thousands of people. Most of the pictures are people whose hair is red. Really orangey red. Each person seems to have lots of hair. It started 20 years ago and gets people together from dozens of countries. There's party and music, mingling and camping, and then lots of pictures of redheads.
Silly me. Of course there's a blond/blonde festival. It is in Latvia - wouldn't that be the land of blond/blonde people. Latvia even has an association of Blondes to promote national spirit and support charities. It began in 2009 with blonde women in pink, events like a Marilyn Monroe lookalike contest, and concerts. Hair and music go together.
There is no brown hair festival, which doesn't seem fair given there is a black hair festival in Brooklyn and others in the Caribbean - mostly highlighting Afro-textured hair.
Go to Australia and you can go to the Hair Festival - music and arts festivals. So maybe brown hair has a place after all. Hair styling, competitions, etc.
How could I have forgotten the curly-headed people. Of course there is a CurlFest - again with a focus on Black curls, coils and kinks. India has a Braid Festival - here's an article HEREon all the festivals.
And the final touch is the BaldFest - celebrating bald culture - all with music, comedy, and likely food trucks.
I seemed to have forgotten there could be beard festivals, too.
