A cyborg seagull was found near a naval base. Oh oh, it is just the beginning of AI-infused invasions. What is a cyborg seagull? A fictional creature that has cybernetic enhancements. It is a term used in gaming. So titles like “The Cyborg Seagull French Fry Raider Supervillain” pops up and you can invent your own cyborg supervillain and it offers up the idea of a monocle wearing seagull who is french fry raider on the beach.
In this case it was a real seagull that was injured and found near a naval base in India. Video-only reporting so one has to watch an ad, of course. They show bits and pieces of electronic gear being removed. Was it a scientific cyborg seagull and the answer comes back that it had a Chinese GPS tracker among other things and belonged to the Chinese Academy of Sciences. There are two theories: suspicions of spying vs. migratory pattern research. Its tracker showed over 10,000 km travelled. I suspect the vote is that it is a spy seagull with the name it’s been given: Xi-Gull.
